Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Yantrio, operated by Ganexas Consultancy Services Pvt. Ltd. (“Ganexas”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. Service description

Yantrio provides browser-based PDF processing tools including viewing, annotation, merging, splitting, conversion, OCR, compression, signing, and redaction.

Local-first processing: Core operations run in your browser via WebAssembly. Your documents are not uploaded to our servers for these operations.

Server-side processing: Conversion and OCR operations require temporary server-side processing. Files are encrypted, processed in isolated containers, and automatically deleted within 1 hour.

3. Account and access

  • You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised access to your account.
  • We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms or pose a security risk.

4. Your data

You retain all rights to your documents and data. We do not claim any ownership or licence over your content. Specifically:

  • Documents processed locally never leave your device.
  • Documents processed server-side are used solely for the requested operation and immediately deleted.
  • We do not use your documents for training, analytics, advertising, or any secondary purpose.
  • We do not access your documents except as required for the processing operation you requested.

5. Compliance obligations

5.1 Our obligations

We commit to maintaining compliance with:

  • DPDP Act, 2023 (India): We act as Data Fiduciary and implement all required safeguards including consent management, data minimisation, breach notification, and Data Principal rights.
  • GDPR (EU): We maintain processing records, support data portability, and implement privacy by design principles.
  • SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley): We maintain immutable audit trails, enforce access controls, and support document retention policies with legal hold capability.

5.2 Your obligations

You are responsible for:

  • Ensuring you have the legal right to process the documents you upload.
  • Complying with applicable data protection laws in your jurisdiction.
  • Obtaining necessary consents from data subjects whose personal data appears in documents you process.
  • Configuring data retention policies appropriate to your regulatory requirements.

6. Audit trail and records

All actions within Yantrio are recorded in an immutable, hash-chained audit log. This includes sign-in events, document access, processing operations, and settings changes. These records:

  • Cannot be modified or deleted (enforced by database triggers).
  • Are retained for 7 years per SOX requirements.
  • Are available for compliance audits upon authorised request.
  • Are pseudonymised (not deleted) when you close your account, preserving the audit chain while removing personal identifiers.

7. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including:

  • AES-256 encryption at rest and TLS 1.3 in transit.
  • Isolated, ephemeral processing containers.
  • Rate limiting and brute-force protection.
  • Regular security audits and vulnerability scanning.
  • India-resident infrastructure.

8. Service availability

We aim for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Local-first tools work offline after initial load. Scheduled maintenance will be announced 48 hours in advance.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from the service shall not exceed the fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Hyderabad, Telangana.
